Sahand was born in Tehran, Iran. He inherited his musical voice and talent from his father who was also born in a musically oriented family. From an early age, Sahand started singing and imitating various styles of music. As a young and ambitious student, he took private piano lessons and studied music theory. He also studied 'Solfege' and took singing lessons from a number of renowned singers such as: Mr Esfandiar Gharehbaghi, Mehrdad Kazemi and others.

After taking further music lessons in England and gaining more experience from various professional musicians, in September 2002, Sahand started a degree course in Performing Arts followed by a BA Honours Degree in Music. While studying at university, he gained various musical skills ranging from composition, music production, music technology and music performance to teaching music.

Sahand continued his studies in music by completing a Post Graduate Degree in Music Education at Middlesex University in London.

As an accomplished singer and composer, Sahand began producing his first album in 2005. During the production process of his album, he has had the pleasure of working with a number of professional composers such as: Master Babak Radmanesh and his talented son- Baron, other producers and educational institutions.

Sahand's first album entitled "Our Era" was released in June 2008 by 'Pars Video' company.

Sahnad's love for music continues to grow and his ambition is to produce original music through creativity and the use of genuine musical ideas. At present, he is working on his new album.
